| This is a guitar with a BIG sound, with lots of basses and increadibly comfortable neck. The luthier in charge was/is Munich/Germany based Mr. Werner Kozlik , together with Mr. Stefan Zirnbauer owner of the Stevens Guitars Company. They are also running the renown Munich Repair Shop. Werner started out building KOZLIK guitars but after a couple of years he changed the name of both the company and the guitar model. It's now called STEVENS guitars and this particular model is a Southern Jumbo. This guitar is equipped with Fishman Acoustic Matrix Natural piezzo transducer and in combination with one AKG 406 condenser microphone attached to a small mic holder and pointing at the sweet spot between the end of the soundhole and beginning of the fretboard, (about an inch away from strings) - it sounds great. I'm also using different soundhole pickups (Sunrise, M1 by L.R. Baggs, EMG) in this guitar, depending on what I need it for - slide, fingerpicking, strumming.... |
